The Colorado Rockies have cemented a difficult chapter in their franchise history, marking their fourth consecutive season with at least 100 losses. This unfortunate milestone places them in rare company, being the first team since the expansion New York Mets (1962-1965) to endure such a prolonged period of defeat. Despite a brief period of improved play in August, the Rockies have since fallen into a significant slump.

Compounding their struggles is a persistent pitching problem, with the team boasting a 5.57 ERA, the highest in Major League Baseball. This marks the second consecutive season the Rockies have finished with the league's worst ERA.
