Forward Robidas was loaned to AHL Chicago on Saturday. He has since demonstrated significant offensive prowess, maintaining a point-per-game pace early in the AHL season.
Robidas has recorded a total of three goals and eight assists in 11 games for the Wolves. Notably, all three of his goals have come in his last three contests. His recent performance includes a goal and an assist in Chicago's 4-3 shootout victory over Grand Rapids on Sunday.
The 22-year-old forward is also a recognized leader within the Wolves' group. His AHL rookie campaign last year saw him accumulate 55 points in 70 games. Robidas also had two points in two games for the Hurricanes in April.
His demotion to the minors likely bodes well for Jordan Staal's availability for Sunday's matchup against Calgary, especially after Staal participated in Saturday's practice.
