10 Sep
Summary
- Roberto Soldic joins the UFC after a frustrating tenure with ONE.
- He fought only three times in nearly five years with ONE Championship.
- Soldic makes his UFC welterweight debut on October 3rd.
Roberto Soldic is set to make his UFC debut on October 3rd at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City. His arrival follows a significantly frustrating period with ONE Championship, where he signed a lucrative deal in 2021 as a hot free agent.
During his nearly five years with ONE, Soldic only competed in three fights, with his last MMA bout occurring in February 2025. This inactivity stemmed from a promised 10-fight contract that yielded far fewer opportunities, leading to significant frustration for the fighter.
Despite the challenges, Soldic acknowledged that ONE Championship always paid him on time, but the lack of consistent MMA fights was a major issue. He is now focused on his UFC career, entering the welterweight division against Khaos Williams.
