Summary
- Ceddanne Rafaela's walk-off, two-run homer
- Marcelo Mayer's key double, Roman Anthony's walk
- Garrett Crochet's strong start before All-Star break

The Boston Red Sox have been on a roll lately, winning eight straight games - the longest active win streak in Major League Baseball. On Friday, the team's young stars stepped up to secure another victory over their American League East rival, the Tampa Bay Rays.
Ceddanne Rafaela, a 24-year-old center fielder, delivered the game-winning blow with a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Rafaela's heroics helped the Red Sox overcome a 4-1 deficit and win 5-4. Marcelo Mayer, 22, and Roman Anthony, 21, also made key contributions, with Mayer hitting a crucial double and Anthony drawing a walk to set up Rafaela's game-winning at-bat.
"It was Marcelo, Roman and Rafaela," Red Sox manager Alex Cora said. "The future of this organization is bright. The present is bright, too."
The Red Sox will look to continue their hot streak on Saturday when they send All-Star left-hander Garrett Crochet to the mound for his final start before the All-Star break. Crochet, who has struck out at least seven batters in each of his last eight outings, will face off against Tampa Bay's Shane Baz, who has been unbeaten against the Red Sox in his career.
