Perez's €150M Mystery Star Bid Set to Ignite Real Madrid

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has indicated he will make a significant offer for a "great player" from a major Champions League club shortly after this weekend's presidential election, with the bid expected to be a club record around €150 million. While Perez has publicly denied pursuing Michael Olise or Jeremy Doku, reports suggest the French international attacking midfielder is indeed the target.

Olise, 24, has impressed with Bayern Munich, making him a prime candidate to become Real Madrid's next "Galactico." This move aims to energize fans following a disappointing 2025-2026 season, which saw the team finish without a major trophy for the second consecutive year.

Real Madrid members are set to vote on Sunday. Perez, who has led the club for most of the last 26 years, built his legacy on the original "Galacticos" policy. His challenger, Enrique Riquelme, had previously pledged to sign Erling Haaland, a claim dismissed by Manchester City.

Perez also informed voters that his re-election would trigger previously agreed deals involving manager Jose Mourinho, Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries, and Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate.
