Real Madrid Eye Man City Star Josko Gvardiol

Real Madrid is reportedly focusing on strengthening its defense in the upcoming summer transfer window, shifting priorities away from acquiring a new forward. The club has been presented with a significant opportunity to sign Josko Gvardiol, a highly-rated defender from the Premier League. Gvardiol's future at Manchester City has become uncertain following recent injury issues that have kept him sidelined since undergoing surgery earlier this year.

Real Madrid has a history of tracking Gvardiol, having shown interest in him previously. The player's versatility is seen as a major asset, as he can play both as a center-back, complementing players like Eder Militao, and as a left-back. This ability could be crucial for Real Madrid, given concerns about the performance of their current left-backs and the uncertain future of Ferland Mendy, who has faced injury setbacks.

While Gvardiol is a desirable target, securing his signature is expected to be a challenging endeavor, with Manchester City likely to demand a substantial transfer fee for the Croatian international.
