Summary
- Arda Guler scored Real Madrid's second goal at the Mestalla.
- A defensive mix-up by Valencia led to the crucial goal.
- Fede Valverde had previously opened the scoring for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid established a commanding two-goal lead in their La Liga fixture against Valencia at the Mestalla. The decisive moment arrived in the 37th minute when Arda Guler capitalized on a defensive error.
Following a mix-up in the Valencia backline, Jude Bellingham skillfully intercepted the ball and drove towards the penalty area. His low cross deflected off defender Tarrega, fortuitously falling to Guler, who made no hesitation in converting the chance.
This goal doubled Real Madrid's advantage, adding to Fede Valverde's earlier spectacular strike. Valverde had put Real Madrid ahead with a powerful shot from outside the box, reacting quickest to a rebound from a Kylian Mbappe free-kick.
