1 Mar
Summary
- Xavier Isaac is Tampa Bay's top power-hitting prospect.
- Isaac is healthy after life-saving brain surgery.
- He has a power grade of 65, nearly elite.
As the Tampa Bay Rays gear up for the 2026 season, Xavier Isaac emerges as a significant power-hitting prospect.
Following a critical brain surgery that sidelined him for most of the 2025 campaign, Isaac has returned to the field for spring training, demonstrating remarkable recovery. His presence is a welcome development for a team aiming to compete in the formidable American League East.
MLB Pipeline recognizes Isaac as the Rays' premier power prospect, assigning him a power grade of 65, which is close to elite status. While he may need time to regain full form and refine other aspects of his game, his exceptional raw power is a rare and valuable asset for the Rays, who have struggled to find consistent 30-home run threats outside of Junior Caminero.
