A player for the Tampa Bay Rays reportedly guaranteed his team's progression to the World Series in a conversation following a recent victory. The Rays were leading their best-of-seven series against the Cleveland Guardians 3-2, with an opportunity to secure their World Series spot in Game 6.
Guardians manager Stephen Vogt stated he was unaware of the guarantee but acknowledged that such comments could serve as motivation for his team. He emphasized the Guardians' focus on their own game, regardless of opponents' predictions.
