Ravens WR Zay Flowers Out Sunday; Jackson Loses Key Target

The Baltimore Ravens have officially ruled Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers out for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Flowers aggravated a left hamstring injury during the Ravens' season-opening victory at the Indianapolis Colts on September 15, 2026. He had missed the initial two practices of the week.

This marks the fourth game Flowers will miss in his career, with his last absence being the 2026 AFC divisional playoff game. His absence is a substantial blow to quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens' offense. Over his last 18 games, Flowers has accumulated 91 catches for 1,361 yards, significantly outperforming the combined statistics of the team's other receivers during that same period.

With Flowers and Ja'Kobi Lane (wrist) unavailable, Rashod Bateman is now the most experienced receiver working with Jackson. The remaining healthy receivers include LaJohntay Wester, Devontez Walker, Elijah Sarratt, and Chris Moore. Coach Jesse Minter encouraged the available receivers to embrace the opportunity.

In addition to Flowers' injury, the Ravens placed top backup cornerback T.J. Tampa (knee) on injured reserve and promoted linebacker Carl Jones from the practice squad. Offensive tackle Gerad Lichtenhan was also elevated from the practice squad, potentially indicating concerns about left tackle Ronnie Stanley's availability due to a toe issue.
