Wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is poised to enter free agency, with contract negotiations between him and the Seahawks reportedly not close to an agreement. This development comes as the NFL's legal tampering period is set to open next week, followed by the official start of free agency. Shaheed was acquired by Seattle from the Saints during the 2025 season and contributed to their Super Bowl victory.

During his tenure with the Seahawks, Shaheed recorded 15 receptions for 188 yards over nine regular-season games, adding three catches for 78 yards in the postseason. His impact was particularly notable on special teams, where he returned three touchdowns for the team, including crucial scores against the 49ers and Rams. Despite his willingness to potentially return to Seattle, the gap in extension talks suggests he may explore offers from other teams.

With Shaheed and running back Kenneth Walker III likely hitting free agency, the Seahawks face decisions regarding their offensive weapons as they prepare to defend their Super Bowl title.
