Rangers Ordered to Pay Dundee £400k for Cameron
22 Jan
Summary
- Rangers must pay Dundee approximately £400,000 for Lyall Cameron.
- The fee was decided by an SPFL tribunal after clubs failed to agree.
- Cameron joined Rangers last February before loaning to Aberdeen.

An SPFL tribunal has mandated that Rangers Football Club must pay Dundee a compensation fee of approximately £400,000 for midfielder Lyall Cameron. The ruling follows the clubs' inability to negotiate a settlement for the 23-year-old player.
Cameron, a graduate of Dundee's academy, originally agreed to a pre-contract with Rangers in February of last year, subsequently joining the club in the summer. He has since made ten appearances for Rangers and was recently loaned to Aberdeen for the rest of the current season.
Dundee confirmed the conclusion of the tribunal proceedings, citing a confidentiality clause that prevents further comment. Rangers have a two-week period from the decision date to remit the payment.
