Players like Garrett, Nacua, Matthew Stafford, and Davante Adams do not need preseason snaps and must be healthy for Sundays.

McVay confirmed this strategy, stating the primary goal is to have Garrett ready for the September 10th game in Melbourne, Australia. This matchup against the San Francisco 49ers will be the NFL's first-ever game in Australia, airing on Netflix. While playing a division rival without Garrett would be challenging, the Rams prioritize his long-term health for their Super Bowl aspirations.
