Raiders' Jeanty & Nailor Face Crucial Test
6 Nov
Summary
- Raiders seek strong showing against 49ers after recent struggles.
- Ashton Jeanty faces pressure amid disappointing season and injuries.
- Jalen Nailor needs production after signing a $35 million contract.
After a recent win against the New York Jets, the Las Vegas Raiders are preparing for a challenging road game against the San Francisco 49ers. The team's performance has been inconsistent, marked by a four-game losing streak earlier in the season. Running back Ashton Jeanty, a second-year player selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has faced significant adversity, including injuries that have impacted his production.
Jeanty's current season statistics show an average of 3.1 yards per carry, a notable decrease from his rookie year. His role was diminished in the last game, with backup Mike Washington Jr. significantly out-carrying him. Meanwhile, wide receiver Jalen Nailor, who signed a three-year, $35 million contract in free agency, has also underperformed. He has accumulated only 113 receiving yards in seven games, putting pressure on him to elevate his play and contribute to the Raiders' offense.
