Brady Eyes New Raiders Coach: Kubiak's Second Interview
29 Jan
Summary
- Klint Kubiak is set for a second head coaching interview with the Raiders.
- Kubiak can only be hired after Super Bowl LX on February 8.
- Several Raiders coaching candidates have accepted other positions.
Klint Kubiak, the current offensive coordinator for the Seahawks, is a leading candidate for the Raiders' head coaching position. Tom Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders, is reportedly taking a close look at Kubiak.
Kubiak is scheduled for a second interview this Saturday. However, NFL rules prevent the Raiders from hiring him until after Super Bowl LX concludes on February 8. The Arizona Cardinals also remain without a head coach, having previously interviewed Kubiak.
The Raiders' coaching search has seen several initial candidates accept other jobs. Davis Webb and another unnamed defensive coordinator are also candidates who have had multiple interviews and remain in consideration.
