Linebacker Quincy Williams has secured a new contract, agreeing to a two-year deal with a maximum value of $17 million. This development follows the news of his brother, Quinnen Williams, being traded to the Cowboys during the 2025 season.
Williams, age 29, will be reuniting with Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg. Rutenberg previously served as Williams' linebackers coach for four of his seasons with the New York Jets.
Originally a third-round pick by the Jaguars in 2019, Williams spent two seasons in Jacksonville before joining the Jets in 2021. During his tenure with the Jets, he played in 78 games, starting 73, and earned an All-Pro selection in 2023. In the 2025 season, Williams recorded 83 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and seven passes defensed across 13 games, missing four due to a shoulder injury.
