The team managed to qualify from Group A as the second-best team and gave a scare to better-ranked opponents in the Super 6s.
In contrast, Afghanistan is entering the series on the back of a 3-0 T20I series win over Zimbabwe, where the visitors dominated across all departments in all three matches. The Afghan team will be looking to continue their strong form and assert their dominance over the hosts.
