4 Apr
Summary
- Rawalpindi Pindiz, new franchise, seeks maiden victory.
- Pindiz batting strong but bowling unit struggles defensively.
- Islamabad United boasts batting depth and recent win.
The Rawalpindi Pindiz are in pursuit of their inaugural victory in the PSL 2026 season during their clash against Islamabad United. Match 12 is scheduled for April 04 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The Pindiz have demonstrated potent batting, consistently scoring over 190 runs thanks to Daryl Mitchell and captain Mohammad Rizwan. However, their bowling unit has been a significant challenge, failing to defend high totals on batting-friendly pitches.
Islamabad United, led by Shadab Khan, arrives with a victory under their belt and a deep batting lineup. The emergence of Sameer Minhas has provided explosive starts, complementing the anchoring efforts of Devon Conway. The heavy dew factor at Gaddafi Stadium is expected to heavily influence the match, making the decision to bowl first a strategic priority for both captains.
