Preston's Premier League Dream: Can They Achieve It?

Preston North End's ambition for Premier League promotion is deemed achievable by former striker Brett Ormerod. The team's current fifth-place position in the Championship, following a recent victory, fuels this optimism. Ormerod draws parallels to past promotion successes, emphasizing that belief and strategic planning are key.

The path to the top flight is acknowledged as increasingly difficult due to descending Premier League clubs and financial disparities. However, Ormerod suggests that targeted acquisitions during the January transfer window could provide the necessary impetus for Preston to sustain their promotion challenge.

He further noted that maintaining a strong league standing through the Christmas period would empower the manager to seek further investment, potentially transforming Preston from a "nearly team" into a genuine contender for a historic Premier League spot.
