The Nashville Predators are set to play their 82nd and final game of the 2025-26 season tonight against the Anaheim Ducks at Bridgestone Arena. The Predators will finish the campaign outside of the playoff picture, having been mathematically eliminated following a recent loss.
Despite the lack of playoff implications, the game holds significance for the team. Head Coach Andrew Brunette emphasized that it's a final opportunity for younger players to showcase their abilities before the next season, urging them to be excited and perform their best.
Key players like Filip Forsberg and Ryan O'Reilly are tied for the team lead in points with 73 each. Steven Stamkos has achieved his eighth career 40-goal season. The Predators recently signed forward Aiden Fink to a three-year contract, and he participated in practice.
The Anaheim Ducks, who are heading to the playoffs, have struggled recently, winning only once in their last nine games. Their offensive leaders include Cutter Gautier, Leo Carlson, and Beckett Sennecke.
