Portugal's Star Neves Returns for Croatia Clash

Portugal's midfield is set to be bolstered by the return of João Neves for their World Cup round of 32 encounter against Croatia today, July 2nd. Neves was notably absent from the starting eleven in the previous group stage match against Colombia but is expected to slot back into the midfield alongside clubmate Vitinha.

Coach Roberto Martínez is anticipated to revert to the lineup that secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan on June 23rd. This match also marks a significant milestone for Cristiano Ronaldo, who is set to earn his record-extending 232nd cap for Portugal. This appearance will surpass Lothar Matthäus in all-time men's World Cup appearances.

The crucial round of 32 fixture between Portugal and Croatia will take place in Toronto, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT. Viewers in the United States can tune in via Fox Network, Telemundo, and fubo.
