Phillies Fans Forced to Stream Friday's Yankees Game on Apple TV+
25 Jul
Summary
- Phillies-Yankees game only available on Apple TV+ this Friday
- Apple TV+ streaming two MLB games per week through 2028 season
- Phillies fans can listen to the game on radio or find it at local bars

This Friday, Phillies fans will need to log into Apple TV+ to watch their team take on the New York Yankees. The Phillies are heading up I-95 for a three-game series against their division rivals, but the Friday night matchup will be exclusively streamed on Apple's platform.
This is part of a multi-year deal that has seen Apple TV+ stream two MLB games per week since the 2022 season. The tech giant's rights to Friday Night Baseball run through the 2028 campaign, meaning Phillies fans can expect more of their games to be available only on the $9.99-per-month streaming service.
For those unwilling to sign up for Apple TV+, there are a few alternatives. Fans can listen to the game on 94.1 WIP radio, with Scott Franzke and Kevin Stocker on the call. Bars and restaurants around Philadelphia will also be carrying the game, thanks to Apple's distribution deal with DirecTV.
The Phillies will return to their usual NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcast on Saturday, with Tom McCarthy and John Kruk in the booth. Kruk, in his ninth season calling Phillies games, will be joined by former pitcher Cole Hamels on August 2.
