26 Apr

Summary

Pete Nygra, a former Louisville center, signed with the Chiefs.
Nygra was not selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.
He is the fifth Cardinal to sign an undrafted free agent deal.

Following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft, former Louisville center Pete Nygra has secured a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. Nygra was not among the players selected during the draft itself.

This signing marks Nygra as the fifth former Cardinal to ink an undrafted free agent agreement. He follows wide receiver Caullin Lacy, linebacker T.J. Quinn, defensive tackle Rene Konga, and quarterback Miller Moss in finding NFL opportunities post-draft. This influx of players from Louisville underscores the program's recent talent output. Only one Louisville player, wide receiver Chris Bell, was drafted, going to the Miami Dolphins in the third round.
