This represents an improvement from their preseason ranking of No. 16. The Nittany Lions' FPI score now stands at 17.2, a notable increase from the previous week's 13.7.

Their improved standing has also boosted their chances of securing the Big Ten conference title, with odds now at 8.5%, up from 4.6%.
