- Maye's performance marked a significant rebound from earlier struggles.
Quarterback Drake Maye orchestrated a commanding performance, throwing for 374 yards and four touchdowns to lead the New England Patriots to a decisive 45-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. This win secured the Patriots' second consecutive victory, improving their record to 3-2.
Maye's resurgence was notable, particularly after a rocky start to the season. His performance this past Sunday contrasted sharply with earlier games where he struggled, including a Week 3 loss with multiple interceptions.
He also achieved a career milestone, becoming the first Patriots player since Tom Brady in 2018 to record back-to-back games with at least three touchdown passes. Maye finished without a turnover for the first time this season.
The Patriots' offense amassed a season-high 536 total yards, their highest total since 2021. The defense also contributed significantly, holding the Raiders to just 38 rushing yards and limiting them to under 25 points, a first for any team against Las Vegas this season.
