Summary
- Patrick Mahomes is ranked eighth among fantasy quarterbacks for Week 6.
- Key wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton are sidelined.
- Mahomes' best career game against the Chargers was in 2023.
As of the week of October 18, 2026, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been ranked as the eighth-best fantasy quarterback for Week 6, according to ESPN. This represents a five-spot drop from his previous standing.
Mahomes is projected to face the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday. However, his offensive capabilities might be hampered by the unavailability of key wide receivers Rashee Rice, who is out with a leg injury, and Tyquan Thornton.
To compensate for these absences, wide receiver Xavier Worthy and tight end Travis Kelce will be crucial. Mahomes' career-best performance against the Chargers occurred in Week 7 of the 2023 season, where he threw for 424 yards and four touchdowns.
