The Carolina Panthers' 2025 season has concluded, and a review of Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades sheds light on individual player performances and team trajectory heading into 2026. Quarterback Bryce Young's overall PFF grade for 2025 was 71.0, a slight decrease from his 74.4 in 2024, despite starting nearly every game in the more recent season. This larger sample size offers a potentially more accurate reflection of his current performance level.
Offensive performance showed varied trends. Running back Chuba Hubbard saw his grade drop from 75.9 to 69.9, while receiver Xavier Legette's grade fell from 59.3 to 52.0. Conversely, tight end Tetairoa McMillan debuted with a strong 79.3, and receiver Jalen Coker improved to 75.4. Offensive linemen Taylor Moton and Damien Lewis maintained strong grades, with Moton improving to 81.0.
Defensively, notable players had mixed results. Derrick Brown, despite missing time due to injury, earned a 72.9 grade. Cornerback Mike Jackson saw a significant jump to 83.5, while safety Tre'von Moehrig recorded a 62.5. However, cornerback Jaycee Horn's grade dipped to 59.2, a surprising mark given his Pro Bowl selection. These PFF grades serve as one analytical tool for assessing the team's roster.
