Miller's performance was part of a larger effort by the Padres' bullpen, which carried the team to a 3-0 victory. After starter Dylan Cease allowed a couple of baserunners in the fourth inning, the Padres turned to relievers Adrian Morejon, Miller, and closer Robert Suarez, who combined for 5.1 scoreless innings with six strikeouts and only one hit allowed.
