Packers Star Parsons Suffers Back Injury in Homecoming Game

On September 29, 2025, Green Bay Packers star linebacker Micah Parsons was forced to exit his homecoming game against the Dallas Cowboys due to a back injury. The incident occurred midway through the third quarter as Parsons was attempting to corral Cowboys running back Javonte Williams in the open field.

Parsons collided with a teammate before landing hard on his lower back. As he made his way to the sideline, Parsons was seen holding his back in apparent pain. NBC's Melissa Stark reported that Parsons was briefly taken into the medical tent and examined for a possible concussion.

Parsons has dealt with back issues throughout the preseason, missing all three of the Cowboys' exhibition games as a result. He has played in every regular season game since joining the Packers, although he saw limited snaps in their Week 1 victory over the Detroit Lions.

After being cleared to return, Parsons watched in frustration from the sidelines as the Cowboys scored a go-ahead touchdown. He was seen stretching his arms in exasperation after exiting the medical tent, disappointed that his homecoming was cut short by the unexpected injury.
