Packers QB Chaos: Tune Starts, Love Benched?
3 Jan
Summary
- Tune starts at QB after joining practice squad late last year.
- Jordan Love cleared concussion protocol but likely won't play.
- Malik Willis is questionable with shoulder and hamstring injuries.

As the Green Bay Packers prepare to face the Vikings, their quarterback depth chart is in flux. Tune, originally drafted in 2023 and signed to the practice squad in late August, is set to start under center. He briefly appeared in relief during a previous game, completing one of four passes for eight yards and an interception.
Jordan Love, the team's primary quarterback, has successfully cleared concussion protocol after missing the recent Ravens game. Despite being medically cleared, coach Matt LaFleur indicated that the intention is not to play Love, though he remains an option if Tune were to get injured. Love sustained the concussion in a December 20th game against Chicago.
The status of Malik Willis, the No. 2 quarterback, is uncertain due to shoulder and hamstring injuries, listing him as questionable. Veteran Desmond Ridder was recently signed to the practice squad and could be elevated to the game-day roster as a backup if Love and Willis are sidelined.
