YAIAA Stars Shine on PA All-State Football Teams

The Pennsylvania Football Writers have announced their 2025 all-state football teams across six classifications, highlighting notable players from the York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA). Spring Grove's David Czapp received recognition as a defensive lineman in Class 5A, contributing significantly with tackles and sacks. Joining him in Class 5A is New Oxford's Brody Holmes, honored as an all-around athlete for his offensive and defensive contributions.
In the Class 6A classification, Central York's Brooklyn Nace was named an all-state quarterback, leading the league with 2,800 passing yards and 37 touchdowns. Teammate Brendyn Smith was also honored as a wide receiver, amassing 1,204 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns. York High's Shavane Anderson earned an all-state nod as a running back, leading the YAIAA with 1,458 rushing yards and scoring 22 touchdowns.
These selections underscore the strong football talent within the YAIAA. Nace's performance propelled Central York to the Class 6A district final, while Anderson's all-purpose yardage also marked him as a standout player for York High. The recognition celebrates the successful senior seasons of these local athletes.
