Ospreys Face Lions in Rugby Showdown
3 Oct
Summary
- Ospreys and Dragons to play Lions and Scarlets respectively.
- Ospreys made 12 personnel changes after a defeat.
- Lions were play-off contenders and strong at home.
The Ospreys are preparing to clash with the Lions this afternoon, with the match commencing at 12:45 BST. Following their recent defeat against the Sharks in Durban last weekend, where they secured a four-try bonus point, the Ospreys have introduced significant personnel changes. Notably, Wales fly-half Dan Edwards is among the 12 players brought into the squad.
In a concurrent fixture, the Dragons will face the Scarlets at 15:00 BST. The Lions, their opponents in the earlier match, are recognized as a strong team, having reached the play-offs last season and demonstrating formidable home performance with only one loss at Ellis Park during the 2025-26 campaign. The hosts, Lions, have already taken an early lead through a penalty kicked by Chris Smith.
