New SEC Rivalry Ignites: Ole Miss Faces Missouri Saturday
16 Oct
Summary
- Ole Miss has never defeated Missouri as an SEC member.
- The two teams have only played twice as conference rivals.
- Missouri enters the game as a 5.5 point underdog.
The upcoming football game on Saturday, October 17, 2026, between Ole Miss and Missouri marks a significant moment in their SEC history. Remarkably, Ole Miss has never secured a victory against Missouri since both teams became members of the Southeastern Conference. This upcoming contest is only their third meeting as conference rivals, the fewest of any Missouri SEC opponent.
Their previous conference matchups occurred in 2013 and 2019. In 2013, Missouri, then a more successful team, defeated Ole Miss. The second meeting in 2019 also saw Missouri emerge victorious. Despite the historical statistics and the typical intensity of SEC football, there appears to be a mutual respect between the two programs rather than animosity.
The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT at Hollingsworth Field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, MS, and will be broadcast on the SEC Network. Current betting odds indicate Missouri is a 5.5-point underdog, with an over-under set at 58.5 points.
