As of November 15, 2025, the Oklahoma Sooners softball team is gearing up for an extensive road trip to kick off their 2026 season. The schedule, released just last Friday, shows the Sooners will play 15 consecutive games away from their home field, Love's Field, before returning for their home opener.
The Sooners' season will begin on February 5, 2026, with a road matchup against Arizona State. They will then play four more games in Arizona that opening weekend, including a contest against the University of Arizona. Two weeks later, Oklahoma will participate in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, facing off against Duke and Washington, before finally returning home on February 27-28 for a pair of games against Sam Houston State.
The Sooners' non-conference home schedule also includes games against Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana, Abilene Christian, Tulsa, and Wichita State. Oklahoma will take on in-state rival Oklahoma State at Devon Park in Oklahoma City on April 15. The team's SEC slate begins with a home series against Auburn on March 13-15, followed by home series against Kentucky, Arkansas, and Georgia. The Sooners will also face Ole Miss, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M on the road in conference play.
Despite the challenging start to the season, Oklahoma is poised for success, returning 13 players from the team that made it to the Women's College World Series semifinals in 2025.
