Oklahoma Lands Texas A&M Guard Pop Isaacs for 2026-27

The Oklahoma Sooners have successfully recruited Pop Isaacs, a guard previously with Texas A&M, for their 2026-27 basketball roster. This commitment occurred on April 22, 2026, just under 24 hours after the transfer portal officially closed. Isaacs joins the Sooners after a season with the Aggies where he averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game, contributing to their NCAA Tournament appearance.

Isaacs brings considerable experience to Oklahoma, entering his fifth college season. He began his career at Texas Tech, where he excelled as a freshman and sophomore, before transferring to Creighton. After an injury-shortened season with the Bluejays, he moved to Texas A&M. Isaacs is the third transfer portal acquisition for the Sooners, following Tyler Hendricks and Khani Rooths, as they prepare for the upcoming season.
