Lawton High School's Noah Smith, a three-star recruit according to On3, has committed to the Oklahoma Sooners for the class of 2027. Smith announced his commitment on his X account following an offer extended during Brent Venables' recent football camps in Norman.
This commitment places Smith alongside Jamison Roberts, a four-star recruit from Saraland, Alabama, as the two quarterback prospects for Oklahoma in the 2027 class. Smith, a 6-3, 210-pound prospect, had previously received offers from smaller in-state schools and West Virginia State.
The Sooners' 2027 recruiting class is currently ranked highly, sitting at No. 3 by 247Sports and No. 4 by On3. This class includes several highly-rated talents, such as five-star cornerback Gabriel Osborne Jr. from Mustang High School.
Oklahoma is preparing for the upcoming season, currently undergoing summer conditioning. The team will participate in SEC Media Days on July 21 in Tampa, Florida, preceding Fall Camp in August. The Sooners aim to build on their College Football Playoff appearance in 2025.
