Expectations are once again high for the Buckeyes, who are expected to be near the top of preseason polls to be released in the coming weeks. The team is led by two of the most high-profile players in the sport, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and safety Caleb Downs.
The Buckeyes will open their season with a marquee nonconference game against Texas at Ohio Stadium, a rematch of their meeting in a College Football Playoff semifinal in January. They will also host Penn State to begin the last month of the regular season, along with five other home games against Grambling, Ohio, Minnesota, UCLA, and Rutgers.
