11 Nov
Summary
- Ohio native John Legend visits Ohio State football facilities
- Meets with head coach Ryan Day and defensive assistant Matt Patricia
- Reinforces his lifelong loyalty to the Buckeyes

In November 2025, Ohio native and Grammy-winning artist John Legend returned to his alma mater, Ohio State University, for a special homecoming visit. Legend, who has long been one of the Buckeyes' most famous fans, toured the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and met with head coach Ryan Day and defensive assistant Matt Patricia.
During his time on campus, Legend posed for photos with the coaching staff and expressed his admiration for the team's performance. "Always special to meet a Legend," Patricia posted on social media, to which Legend replied, "Great to meet you Coach! Love to see how you have our D playing!"
Legend's visit came on the same day that Ohio State landed a commitment from 2026 recruit Legend Bey, a four-star wide receiver who was formerly committed to Tennessee. This coincidence only reinforced the deep connection between the Grammy winner and the Buckeyes.
Throughout his career, Legend has never hidden his loyalty to Ohio State. From his earliest tweets to his recent social media posts, the artist has proudly worn his Buckeye pride. Whether on stage or online, he continues to demonstrate that no matter how far his career takes him, he will always be a Buckeye for life.
