The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers will face off on Friday, October 16, 2026, for their concluding preseason game. This matchup at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles provides a final glimpse of both teams before the 2026-27 NBA regular season commences.
Fans can catch the action on ESPN, with local broadcasts on Spectrum SportsNet for the Lakers and Altitude Sports for the Nuggets. However, significant injury concerns and the possibility of player rest could impact who plays. Both squads have multiple players designated as game-time decisions.
Denver's wing depth is tested with Julian Strawther's knee issue and Spencer Jones's hamstring problem. DeMar DeRozan is also listed for rest. For the Lakers, Luka Doncic is expected to play in some capacity, but Collin Sexton's availability is a more significant concern due to his practice status.
This final preseason game is critical for both teams to evaluate lineups and build chemistry. Key players like Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray for Denver, and Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves for Los Angeles, may have their playing time managed carefully.
