On November 16, 2025, the No. 6 Michigan Wolverines traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on the TCU Horned Frogs in a tight college basketball matchup. Despite struggling with turnovers and failing to find a consistent offensive rhythm, the Wolverines were able to pull out a 67-63 victory.
Michigan's performance was marred by 22 turnovers, which put a lot of stress on their offense. However, the Wolverines were able to make up for their sloppy play by dominating the paint and the boards. They outscored TCU 36-26 in the paint and outrebounded the Horned Frogs 44-23. Morez Johnson Jr. led the way with a double-double, recording 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Roddy Gayle Jr. stepped up in a big way off the bench, scoring 10 points and dishing out 6 assists. With starters Yaxel Lendeborg and Elliot Cadeau in foul trouble, Gayle provided a much-needed scoring punch and playmaking ability to help Michigan secure the victory.
Freshman Trey McKenney also made a significant impact, hitting big shots in both halves and finishing with 11 points. The Wolverines' ability to get to the free-throw line, making 80% of their attempts, was another key factor in the win.
Despite the turnover issues, Michigan's size, physicality, and contributions from their bench proved to be the difference in this tight road contest against the Horned Frogs.
