Morkel Backs Reddy for 2027 World Cup

India's bowling coach Morne Morkel has expressed confidence in Nitish Kumar Reddy's potential to develop into a key all-rounder, looking ahead to the 2027 ODI World Cup. Reddy, who has impressed with his bowling in recent T20Is, is slated to receive opportunities in the 50-over format against the West Indies.

India is strategically shifting focus to 50-over cricket, with the West Indies series being a part of their extensive preparation for the 2027 tournament. This period will involve further ODI engagements against New Zealand and Sri Lanka later this year, and Zimbabwe at the start of 2027.
