Borussia Dortmund has initiated contact with Torino FC regarding the potential transfer of midfielder Nikola Vlasic. This development comes as BVB seeks a replacement for Julian Brandt. Vlasic, a Croatian international, has attracted attention from his compatriot Niko Kovac.
Vlasic initially joined Torino on loan from West Ham United before the Italian club made the move permanent for approximately eleven million euros. His contract with Torino runs until 2027, with an option for an automatic extension to 2028.
His previous stint in the Premier League with West Ham United proved challenging. Prior to that, Vlasic played for Everton FC after moving from Hajduk Split's youth system. He later became a key player for CSKA Moscow, contributing significantly to their offense before his move to Italy.
