Nick Bosa Squashes Reunion Rumors: 'Probably Not'

The possibility of brothers Nick and Joey Bosa playing together for the San Francisco 49ers seems highly improbable. Nick Bosa recently stated that his older brother is likely not considering an NFL comeback, playfully suggesting that Joey isn't preparing for a return to the league. This sentiment aligns with earlier comments Nick made in May, hinting that retirement might be on the horizon for the two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher.

Furthermore, even if Joey Bosa, 30, wished to continue his playing career, the 49ers may not have been in a position to sign him. General Manager John Lynch had previously expressed that a reunion would be too costly for the team, despite San Francisco having significant salary cap space. Joey spent his first nine seasons with the Chargers, followed by a one-year deal with the Bills for the 2025 season, which was hampered by injuries including a torn labrum. He has amassed 65 sacks in 111 career games but has only completed a full 17-game season twice.
