Week 5 of the NFL season saw teams not only secure victories but also engage in creative social media taunts. The New York Jets, after defeating the Cleveland Browns 17-12, posted an image of the animated character Cleveland Brown wearing Jets colors, a direct jab at their opponents.
The Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated their 34-22 win over the Indianapolis Colts with a series of playful trolls. Their posts included a "Hold your horses" graphic and references to the "Parks and Rec" pony, Little Sebastian, tying into the game's narrative.
Another notable victory came from the Cincinnati Bengals, who defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-24. The Bengals leaned into the popular "Grand Theft Auto" video game theme, referencing "Vice City," a fictional location heavily inspired by Miami, the Dolphins' home.
In a matchup on "Thursday Night Football," the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured their first win of the season, beating the Dallas Cowboys 24-16. The Buccaneers added to their victory by trolling the Cowboys, who play in a climate-controlled dome, with a thermostat graphic labeled "WIN."
