NFL Legend's 60-60 Club Record on the Verge of Being Matched
23 Oct
Summary
- Only 1 member of 60-60 club in NFL history: Norm Van Brocklin
- Jim Harbaugh could match Van Brocklin's record with a win over Vikings
- Harbaugh has 59 wins as NFL head coach, needs 1 more to join 60-60 club

The NFL's 60-60 club, a prestigious group of individuals who have won at least 60 games as both a player and a head coach, has had only one member for the past 52 years. However, that could change on October 24, 2025, as Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Minnesota Vikings.
Norm Van Brocklin, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, is the sole current member of the 60-60 club. During his playing career from 1949 to 1960, Van Brocklin amassed a 100-36-4 record as a starting quarterback, winning two NFL titles and making nine Pro Bowl appearances. After retiring as a player, he went on to coach two teams over 13 seasons, compiling a 66-100-7 record.
Now, Harbaugh, who played in the NFL from 1987 to 2001 and has a career record of 66-74 as a quarterback, is on the verge of matching Van Brocklin's unique accomplishment. As a head coach, Harbaugh has led the San Francisco 49ers, Michigan Wolverines, and now the Los Angeles Chargers, accumulating a 59-28-1 record over his six seasons in the NFL.
If Harbaugh can lead the Chargers to victory over the Vikings on October 24, 2025, he will become only the second person in NFL history to join the 60-60 club. The matchup is particularly fitting, as Van Brocklin once served as the head coach of the Vikings.
