Summary
- Nexo Championship returns to Scotland in August 2026.
- It will be the concluding event of the DP World Tour's Closing Swing.
- The tournament features a unique rolling prize fund for course records.
The Nexo Championship is returning to Scotland, with the DP World Tour and Nexo confirming a renewed agreement. The event will take place at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire from August 20-23, 2026. This prestigious tournament will serve as the final event of the DP World Tour's Closing Swing, marking the end of the first phase of the 2026 Race to Dubai.
The partnership, which began in 2025, sees Nexo as the Official Digital Wealth Platform for the DP World Tour through 2027. The Nexo Championship has already made its mark with the introduction of the Course Record presented by Nexo, a unique rolling prize fund that grows until a course record is broken. Scotland's Grant Forrest was the inaugural winner of this prize in 2025.
The renewal highlights Nexo's long-term commitment to sports sponsorships and the DP World Tour's strategic expansion. The event also features a celebrity pro-am on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, aiming to broaden its appeal. This marks the second consecutive year Trump International Golf Links has hosted the championship.
