30 Apr
Summary
- Newcastle manager meets hierarchy for crucial season review.
- Magpies face 14th place with five consecutive losses.
- Club reviews finances and future plans, including stadium.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is scheduled to meet with club leadership on Thursday for a vital assessment of the team's challenging season. Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan and director Jamie Reuben will join Howe and other senior officials at Matfen Hall for this review.
The team's current 14th position in the Premier League, marked by five successive losses, has intensified scrutiny on Howe's tenure. Despite reaching cup semi-finals and the Champions League last 16, European qualification for next season now seems out of reach.
Beyond immediate performance concerns, the meeting will address financial strategies, including compliance with domestic and European regulations. Future plans for a new training ground and stadium redevelopment or construction are also on the agenda.
