Brooklyn Nets rookie guard Egor Demin's 2025-26 season has concluded prematurely due to escalating plantar fasciitis in his left foot. The team has decided to sideline Demin for the rest of the campaign to facilitate his recovery and treatment.
Demin underwent a non-surgical procedure earlier this month to address the plantar fasciitis, which he described as successful. He is currently engaged in the rehabilitation process, aiming for a return to the court shortly after the season concludes.
The 20-year-old guard concludes his rookie year with averages of 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, shooting 39.9% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range.
The Nets anticipate Demin will resume basketball activities early in the offseason and participate fully in the summer development program. Both Demin and head coach Jordi Fernandez have indicated that his timeline for returning to play is still uncertain, especially regarding potential participation in the Las Vegas Summer League.
