Nebraska's high school football scene is experiencing a resurgence, with the state producing a crop of talented quarterback prospects for the 2025 season. As the Huskers continue their climb back to prominence in the Big Ten Conference under head coach Matt Rhule, the spotlight is turning to the incredible talent within Nebraska's borders.
One of the standout quarterbacks is Thomalla, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect who was previously committed to Iowa State before being sought out by Kalen DeBoer and Alabama. Thomalla has since committed to the Crimson Tide and will have one more season to showcase his skills, having thrown for 3,664 yards and 47 touchdowns last year.
Another top quarterback is Manning, who as a junior last season had just short of 1,500 yards passing in 10 games, throwing 6 touchdowns along the way. Manning has committed to play football at Wayne State.
The 6-foot-3 Easley will be the full-time starter this coming fall after handling the QB1 role in a handful of games last season. Easley has been making the rounds over the summer at several high-profile camps, further showcasing his talents.
Holdren, a left-hander, is also a baseball prospect in addition to his prowess on the football field. He was named all-state last year by several media publications in Nebraska and recently picked up an offer from three-time NAIA champion Northwestern College.
Leggett, standing at 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, racked up almost 1,900 yards with 15 touchdowns a year ago, completing 58 percent of his passes. He will be another quarterback to watch in the 2025 season.
