- Bench players provided crucial scoring and defensive energy.
- NC State defense allowed a career-high 24 points to an opponent.
NC State's men's basketball team earned a hard-fought 79-71 road win against Boston College, regaining momentum after a recent home loss. Star forward Darrion Williams found his scoring touch, leading the Wolfpack with 22 points and four three-pointers, significantly impacting the game's outcome.
The team's bench also delivered a much-needed boost, especially with Tre Holloman sidelined. Freshman guard Matt Able scored 11 points, including three crucial three-pointers, while Terrance Arceneaux added 12 points and defensive intensity. This collective effort from the reserves outshone Boston College's bench production.
Despite the win, NC State's defense allowed Boston College guard Fred Payne to score a career-high 24 points, continuing a trend of opponents reaching scoring milestones. The Wolfpack will look to build on this success as they prepare for their next road game against Florida State.
